Russ Peray

IngredientsRuss Peray

  • Milk 1 liter
  • Water 1 ½ glass
  • Sugar  250 gm
  • Semolina  4 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Kewra 1 tbsp
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder  ½ tsp
  • Mix dry fruits 25 gm

Method

  1. Boil 1 liter milk, add in 1 tbsp lemon juice and mix well till it curdles.
  2. Now put it in a muslin cloth, squeeze out extra water.
  3. Remove thick mixture in a bowl. Add in 4 tbsp semolina, 1 tbsp flour and ½ tsp baking powder. Mix well and knead to dough.
  4. Make small pera’s.
  5. In a pan put together 1 ½ glass of water, 250 gm sugar and 1 tbsp kewra. Cook till sugar of medium consistency is formed.
  6. Now lower the flame. Add in prepared pera’s.
  7. Cook till pera’s comes on top. Remove pera’s in a serving platter, pour sugar syrup on top.
  8. Garnish with 25 gm chopped almond and pistachios
