Masalydar Aaloo Gobhi

IngredientsMasalydar Aaloo Gobhi

  • Oil   ¼ cup
  • Cauliflower  1 medium
  • Potatoes boiled  3
  • Yogurt  125 gm
  • Onion chopped  1
  • Ginger garlic paste  2 tbsp
  • Coriander crushed  1 tsp
  • Cumin crushed  1 tsp
  • Chili powder  1 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper  1 tsp
  • Turmeric   1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds  1 tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves   1 tsp
  • Tomatoes boiled   3
  • Water   1 cup
  • All spice powder  1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped   2 tbsp
  • Salt  to taste

Method

  1. Finely chop 1 cauliflower and lightly fry with ¼ cup oil.
  2. Remove and keep aside.
  3.  In the remaining oil add 1 chopped onion, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and 1 tsp mustard seeds. Fry for 1 -2 minutes.
  4. Now add 125 gm yogurt, 1 tsp crushed cumin, 1 tsp crushed coriander, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, 1 tsp chili powder, salt to taste, 3 boiled & chopped potatoes, 3 boiled chopped tomatoes, fried cauliflower and 1 cup water.
  5. Cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
  6. Remove lid and fry well.
  7. Lastly add 2 tbsp coriander leaves, 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves and 1 tsp all spice powder.
  8. Mix well, dish it out and serve hot.
