Fish Curry

Ingredients

  • Fish Flay (cut them in cubes)-200 gm
  • Onion (chopped)-1
  • Tomatoes (chopped)-2
  • Red chili powder-1 tsp
  • Red Chili Flakes-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • All spices (garm masala)-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Black chickpeas (kaley channay)-10 gm
  • Roasted poppy seeds (khashkhas)-10 gm
  • Coriander leaves-as required
  • Salt-to taste
  • Oil-as required


Method

  • Fry the fish first in a fry pan. In other pan heat little oil and make sure you fry the onions till it turns light brown color.
  • Now add tomatoes and pour little water in it.
  • Now grind the roasted black chickpeas and poppy seed with little water in a grinder.
  • Add red chili, salt, all spices, chili flakes and half cup of water and cook it till it thickens.
  • Add cumin seeds and coriander and cook for more 1-2 minutes.
  • Now add poppy seed and chickpeas mixture and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/2 cup water, cook it and cover it for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add fried fish in curry and garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with boiled or garlic rice.
