Daal Gosht


  • Meat-300 grams (undercut)
  • Mong Masoor Daal-150 gram
  • Garlic-3 clove
  • Tomato-1
  • Onion-1
  • Ginger-1 medium piece
  • Red pepper (whole)-5 to 6
  • Turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala-1/4 tsp
  • Whole cumin-1/2 tsp
  • Dried Methi-Little bit
  • Coriander-As required
  • Salt-As required
  • Oil-As required


  • Firstly cook garlic, ginger and oil for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • After that add onion and meat and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • When meat’s water gets evaporate then add mong masoor daal with all the vegetables, masalay and also pour 1 jug of water.
  • Cook it over medium flame.
  • After 20 to 25 minutes when daal gets soft, cook it over high flame for 10 minutes.
  • Finally serve it and garnish it with finely chopped coriander and ginger.
