Chicken Peppercorn Masala

Ingredients

  • Chicken-375 gm
  • Yogurt-2 tbsp
  • Cream-1 tbsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Crushed black pepper-1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
  • Lemon’s juice-2

Gravy Sauce:

  • Garlic chopped-3 cloves
  • Onions chopped-2 small
  • Tomatoes chopped-2
  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  • White pepper-1/4 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup-2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Crushed black pepper-1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red chili-1/2 tsp

Method

  • Marinade the chicken with yogurt,cream, salt,black pepper, red chili and lemon juice.
  • Mix it well and leave it for half an hour.
  • Now take a steamer and put 1 jug of water in it. When steam gets ready, put chicken pieces in steamer and steam it for 10-12 minutes.
  • Now for gravy heat the oil in pan and stir fry the garlic.
  • Add onions and cook it for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  • When onion becomes soft then add tomatoes, coriander powder, salt, crushed red chili and tomato ketchup.
  • Mix it all well, then add crushed black pepper and white pepper, stir it continually.
  • Now add steamed chicken in this gravy, dish out when gravy is coated over chicken.
  • Don’t overcook it because chicken is already cooked and soft.

Tip

You can also eat the steamed chicken without gravy if you want to.
