Baklava

Ingredients

  • Baklava200 gm Puff pastry
  • 200 gm Walnuts
  • 200 ml Sugar or golden syrup
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Add 100 ml sugar syrup or golden syrup to 200 grams crushed walnuts and mix.
  2.  Roll 200 grams puff pastry with a rolling pin.
  3. Grease a 1-inch deep baking pan with butter and place half 1/2 pastry dough in the pan.
  4.  Top with sugar glazed walnuts and then place remaining puff pastry in the pan.
  5. Brush with a beaten egg and bake in a pre heated oven at 200 f for 12 to 15 minutes.
  6.  When the dough turns golden brown, take out of oven and top with golden syrup.
  7. Cut baked Baklava in the desired shape and serve.
