Apple Tart

IngredientsApple Tart

  • Honey                         1 cup
  • Apple chopped         3
  • Sugar                           2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon                  a pinch

Ingredients for Dough

  • Yeast                            1 tbsp
  • Milk                             ½ cup
  • Sugar                           1 tsp
  • Egg                               1
  • Flour                            200 gm
  • Salt                               to taste
  • Ghee  4 tbsp

Method

  1. Dissolve 1 tbsp yeast and 1 tsp sugar in ½ cup lukewarm milk.
  2. Now add 1 egg yolk and mix well.
  3. Now add 200 gm flour, salt to taste and 4 tbsp butter. Mix well and knead to dough.
  4. Wrap with a plastic foil and keep aside.
  5. Heat 1 cup honey in a pan, add in sliced apple. Cook for 1 – 2 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough and spread in a greased pie mold.
  7. Prick top using fork. Now spread apple mixture on top.
  8. Sprinkle top with 2 tbsp sugar.
  9. Lastly sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon powder, bake in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes.
